All members of UVA may submit works for this show. These works may be in any medium. Originals, prints, and photography may be submitted. Because of the limited space no free-standing 3D works will be allowed. Artists may enter up to 2 framed pieces and up to 5 unframed prints. Prints must be backed, wrapped, and labeled.
Framing: All works must be professionally framed and securely wired, and if subject to damage, must be framed under glass or Plexiglas. No saw-toothed hangers or clip mounting will be accepted. Size: Due to the extreme space limitations at this festival, we request pieces no larger than 20 x 34 and preferably smaller. We have found that smaller works with lower prices sell better. Theme: We would like subject matter to reflect the festival s wine theme, although other subjects will be accepted. Subjects may include bottles of wine, wine glasses, food, vineyard scenes, etc.
You must be a member of UVA to exhibit, but no entry fee is required.

Upstate Visual Arts participates yearly in The Cazbah's International Wine Festival, a fundraising event benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year, UVA will contribute to the Wine Festival by sponsoring an exhibit of original local art, donating half of its art sales proceeds to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Named one of Greenville's best events, The Cazbah's International Wine Festival features an array of live entertainment, over 100 wines for guests to sample, a wine shop, on-stage “wish-granting,” and a spectacular silent auction including a drawing for a trip to Napa Valley. The 2007 event takes place on Trade Street in Downtown Greer. All the proceeds resulting from The Cazbah's International Wine Festival are donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Carolina, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy by granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. The Make-A-Wish Foundation believes that fulfilling a child's wish provides a joyful and meaningful experience that benefits both the child and the child's family.
2007 marks the third year that Upstate Visual Arts has participated in the Wine Festival. The 2005 UVA Exhibit displayed works from UVA's membership of over 500 local artists, presenting works in a variety of media, including original oils, pastels, and photographs, as well as prints. Most of the subject matter reflected the festival's wine theme, artfully portraying bottles of wine, wine glasses, food, and vineyard scenes. Through this exhibit and future exhibits at the Wine Festival, UVA hopes to not only further its own mission of celebrating the vast talent of its local artists, but also to promote the festival's goal of aiding the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
